      \n\n Mining\n \n <\/h3>\n
      \n Mining is by simple open cast methods\nusing heavy earthmoving machinery\nmainly owned by the mine. The phosphate\nore in the pits is broken down by two\nmethods, ripping and dozing and drilling\nand blasting. The broken ore is then\nloaded into tractor dumpers using front\nend loaders before being hauled to the\ngrizzely and to the plant for further\nprocessing.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      \n\n Milling\n \n <\/h3>\n
      \n Ore from the grizzley is fed to the mill\nvia a 30 tonne bin which smoothens\nout fluctuations in the feed. The ore is\nthen wet milled semi autogenously\n(steel balls added to aid the milling\nprocess) in a 4.27 by 6.10 metre mill at\na rate of about 155 tonnes per haul to\nproduce a watery mixture called a\nslurry.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      \n The very finest material (less than 0.03\nmm) produced during milling are\ndetrimental to the floatation efficiency\nand are therefore removed by\ncyclones as slimes before the\nfloatation process.       \n The deslimed slurry is fed into\nfloatation cells where chemicals are\nadded to facilitate the flotation\nprocess.
