The above vacancies have arisen in our operating units i.e., Head Office in Harare, G&W Industrial Minerals in Rushinga, Zimbabwe Phosphate Industries in Msasa, CAPH in Msasa and Dorowa Minerals in Buhera. Reporting directly to the General Managers/Accounting Officers of the units, the successful candidates, who shall be Heads of PMUs, shall be expected, inter alia, to discharge the following major responsibilities:
Key Functions:
- Initiate all procurement of goods, works and services as well as the disposal of assets for their unit in line with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23) and associated regulations for execution by the PMU.
- Draft policies in line with the PPDPA Act and PRAZ regulations for approval.
- Ensure that the Procurement Plans and Returns of their units are prepared and submitted timely, always.
- Ensure that all Procurement Records and records of Procurement proceedings for their units are kept safely and conveniently such that they are easily availed when so required.
- Prepare Procurement Reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare Contract Documents and amendments as well as manage Procurement contracts pertaining to their units.
- Ensure compliance and efficiency are maintained.
Qualifications & Experience:
• A degree in Economics, Business studies or Procurement from reputable institutions is a must.
- A Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from a reputable institution can be considered.
- A CIPS Qualification shall be an added advantage
- An MBA shall also be an added advantage
- At least five years of senior managerial experience in procurement for a mining, manufacturing or international trading entity.
- Proficient with PPDPA Act, Procurement regulations and PRAZ guidelines.
- Experience in Tender Management.
- A team player with good communication, computer land analytical skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- A clean Class 4 Driver’s licence.
